The Male and Female Regent Coffee Table.

A very enjoyable commission from 2019, this unique coffee table was constructed from recycled northern Silky-oak. The top was constructed from a couple of pieces that originated from a few different places. One being part of an old dinning table and the other a bottom rail from a large sliding door. The table rails were from a french door stile of undetermined origin. Legs were from an old and well used desk, which were trimmed down and reshaped to suit. The stand featured traditional mortise and tenon joinery and for the life sized marquetry motifs most of the veneers were shop cut on a bandsaw, again from recycled timbers.
