A while back thoughts of building a contemporary display cabinet was something that had been on my mind. So I set about designing and building this piece. Early Queensland Maple wardrobe. These early cabinets are almost always too narrow to hang clothing in edge on. So here the brief was to extend the cabinet depth by 110mm and turn the fixed centre panel into a door. Also it was much too big to move back into my clients upstairs bedroom in one piece.
